The Google Search

Roughly every two weeks when I sit down at my physical computer, and I’m not on IRacing, I’ll google my name. Most of the articles on our NEWS feed are from that very google search. Sometimes, when I do interviews, I am aware that something is about to post. More often than not, I find out about the article via google. I’ve heard of celebrities having teams dedicated to finding what comes out about their celebrity bosses on the internet. We at Ryan Roulette Racing are nowhere near any sort of celebrity status, but I do find it interesting what pops up from time to time.

My favorite find so far was when someone made a Wiki Page about me. It had me listed as 10 years younger, where I grew up was incorrect, it had several spelling errors, and overall it was a mess. Thank you to whomever put the effort into making that page, but at the same time also thank you for the extra work sorting out how Wiki works so I could change my birthday and hometown. The rest, well, go check it out and you will see some spelling/grammatical errors littered throughout the text.

Another fun find was discovered on ebay. I saw my name attached to an ebay item for sale so of course I checked it out. What I found was my hero card for sale. What was even crazier, someone purchased the card. If only they visited ryanrouletteracing.com they could have received one for free. I do not know what I think is most interesting about this occurrence; the fact someone is selling my signed hero card or that someone purchased it.

Today I found this picture on an article that was released a few months back. The article was a normal breakdown of each driver entering an upcoming race; nothing significant. The picture, on the other hand, I know was taken on a particular cellular device. I know who leaked it! Too funny. If you haven’t done so in a while you should google your own name. See what’s out there about you… if its even you! Who knows, maybe you own tons of land and property in another state that you knew nothing about?!?!
