NASCAR Weekly Series Racing In Idaho

We had a great weekend at Meridian Speedway in Idaho racing in their weekly NASCAR Advanced Auto Parts Series. The car was fast all day, and the team worked hard to fine tune the #11 Bellator Recruiting Academy Chevy Camaro to get this dirt track Sprint Car driver around that small technical asphalt racetrack. Practice was uneventful, and we qualified P9 for the main event.

Our goal was to get some seat time in, run clean lines, and gain more exposure to racing door to door in traffic in a stock car. Both the heats and main event did exactly that. Needless to say, we don’t beat and bang around the track when I run Sprints and I came out of this race with a few battle scars on the car. During the main event we drove up to P2 and unfortunately on the final restart I struggled on the outside line and the inside line rolled past like a freight train resulting in a top 10 finish with the 3rd fastest time on track. Overall, it was a successful race weekend for what we were looking to accomplish and it was fun to race against a great group of drivers.
