NASHVILLE or BUST

Here we go, its race week in Nashville! I’ve been looking at the weather reports all week and it looks like rain the day before. As long as it doesn’t roll into Saturday we will be good to go. The track has weekly racing events held there and with this rain rolling in the track will get cleaned off and present us a fresh green track to run on. Lets go!

Nashville is a unique opportunity for our organization. The first two ARCA races we entered focused on running a clean race, clean lines, stay out of trouble, learn the car, learn the grooves, learn what the car can/cannot do, and just finish the race at the high speeds that Phoenix offered. This time around, at this awesome slightly bigger than 1/2 mile track we are changing our focus. The speeds wont be as high, but all the other goals apply. This race we are not expecting 40 cars to show up, but instead half or less. This gives us an opportunity to put down a solid run, keep the car clean, and push towards a good finish. I have run short tracks all across the country, primarily on dirt, but nevertheless this track length fits more of what I’ve been accustomed too. Why have I run several races at Madera in California; to prepare for ARCA short tracks racing on asphalt. Why did I go to Idaho to run at Meridian; it was in preparation for this race. At Phoenix it was easy to get spread out and run your race against a few cars around you, but at Nashville we expect a lot more door to door racing. That’s what Meridian prepared me for.

With this race being a part of the ARCA East schedule we have elected to run with a ARCA East team. We are proud to announce we have partnered up with Fast Track Racing owned by Andy Hillenburg. Andy not only owns this team, but he also previously raced at all levels of NASCAR, and owns a racetrack. His tutelage will be invaluable at Nashville to say the least.

This race we will be bringing along the same two big sponsors/partners from Phoenix; Bellator Recruiting Academy and Anser Advisory. We look forward to continuing our relationship with these two amazing organizations.
